point 1: it took 11mins for the guards to discover he was really missing. how efficient. hur hur.
point 2: the window so small and a crippled 47 year old man can climb out of it. damn zhai. and he did it without makin much noise for the sleeping guard outside the cubicle door to hear. then he ran to the nearby fence, where he leveraged on a enclosed stairway to climb over it. all these took 49secs according to the reenactment by officials. I must say again, 47 year OLD man. Crippled. No training at gym (unless the detention centre has a gym for them to use). And u mean there’s no guards patrolling the camp perimeters when it was known there were visitations on that day?

What have i been doing this past 2 weeks? hmm. i also cant remember much. i remembered my parents went london and i couldnt go cos of project draft submission. then i went clare’s mother house for 2 sats in a row. i remembered playin arcade on a sunday (been a long time since i done that). remembered doing cs4260 report. remembered doing cs4255 report. remembered i spent sat in sch. remembered i spent sunday at home typing things. remembered sunday nite till mon morning was looking thru the two report’s english (i had to correct tenses, also some sentences needed more clarity. ya. i din know i was the english person). now is slightly slackin week though it shldnt be. fun things await me. cs4265 presenation on fri. mkt3402 quiz on mon. cs4255 presentation on wed. cs4265 report submition on fri. then its off to holiday study week. yippie yawn! have tried to study mkt3402 today. i accomplished reading half a chap. wat great progress. every great journey begins with one foot step.

had presentation today morning. went for lecture. lunch with nic as usual. then stayed in sch a while. almost went for importu movie but cancelled. havent enjoyed the student rate movie tix. talked to some girl which i have nv talked to in my class. i have 3 same mod as her. but she has nv seen me in class b4. either i am harry potter wearing my invisible coat (or peter petrali doing my invisible trick) or she is not the obversant sort. i chose to believe the former. studied my half chap b4 going home. came home. ate. surf net. slept for 4hrs. sianness. mum woke me up. ate dinner. watch tv. blog. hopefully will be studyin ltr.

anyway, the show i was watchin was a documentary called Tuesday Report, aka 星期二特写. they showed mainly 2 stories but highly co-related. first they showed a couple, who’s business was to collect cardboard and metal containers from collectors. so they are like the consolidators. their customers were usually those older folks whom we would usually see collect cardboard n stuff. then they themselve will consolidate and sell to some factory at west side. then the west side factory will ship to other country to recycle it. the second story they showed was an old lady, aged 79, who lives in a single room flat, collecting card board. in short, both stories werent exactly ‘normal’. it was a rather mixed feeling watching it. the collectors were so old (but still strong) and they collect a whole stack of cardboard for a grand total of $2+. some guy who collected cans on a not so regular basis said u got an extra salary of $8 a week. can u imagine collecting cans for 1 week and getting $8? i wouldnt even bat an eyelid to eat an $8 meal. all these are part of society, but we seldom place any attention to it. pple who actually live by with amounts probably less than the avg allowance for students. pple who have to work hard and long each day for that less than avg allowance. sometimes i tink our society is too self-centered (me included). we dont really care about things as long as we dont see it. some of us wouldnt care even if we saw it. i wouldnt tink twice about spending money on some superficial things like clothes, shoes, arcade. maybe i am spending my money in the wrong place. afterall, i cant bring these along after i die. or maybe i am just really selfish. or maybe i was nv brought up with selfless social norms or culture influence. maybe maybe. food for thought i guess.

this mtv starts with by saying "if i had a choice, i wish i have nv met u". the story in the mtv goes like this. the guy found out he has a terminal illness. so he decides to leave the girl. but he faked a story that he will be going overseas to study instead. and the girl found out in the end. sounds cheesy? well, i tink it sounds rather sad. i tink such things do happen. not the terminal illness part, but just the sad stuff, and we dont wan anyone to know but just hide it away from others.

cashcard is the stupiest idea ever implemented. we dont need cashcard for a cashless society. cant believe they intend to continue such a stupid idea. chinese got saying, smth like since start wrong, then have to wrong all the way liaoz. and now i have to pay more money for a stupid card that i am forced to use. and did u know cashcards have expiry dates? meaning, if u need to use cashcard, u will surely need to pay for the increased price card sooner or ltr?

stupid idea again. amidst increasing electricty cost, the idea of lighting up the roads to imitate day time during night time seems oxymaronic. we cant we just use free light from the sun during day time? the night scenary better be viewable during the race.
