a deleted scene from ‘Knocked up’. its damn funny from my point of view. and the actor is great! he can totally act insane for 30seconds and on the 31st second, he’s back to normal. smth like that. haha. anyway, i suspect only the guys will tink this clip is absolutely hilarious. and i have no idea why the removed the funniest part of the movie. the rest of the show sucks.

WHICH came first, the chicken or the egg? I don’t know, but I bet the same logic could be applied to another question: Why wouldn’t the ERP gantry deduct money from your cashcard? Is it because of the cashcard or the in-vehicle unit (IU)?

Since neither the cashcard nor the IU would admit to being the cause of the problem, it was decided that I, your friendly neighbourhood blame specialist, would step in to try and find out why neither side believes that it is in the wrong.

Hence, I carried out several counselling sessions and this is what I found out.

Me: So, how do you feel about the IU claiming that it is your blue butterfly design that keeps it from deducting money when a car goes through the ERP gantry?

Cashcard: Well, that’s just typical of the IU isn’t it. It’s always something else. Never mind that sometimes it just beeps for no reason, and sometimes it just refuses to read my credit balance and flashes ‘Err’ no matter how many times the driver tries to put me into the slot. I think it’s just jealous that it’s stuck to the windscreen all day, rain or shine, and doesn’t get taken out to be topped up once in a while.

IU: Don’t be ridiculous. You can’t even decide what design you want – first you want a blue butterfly, then you decide to go with a solid colour with a few gold highlights, and now you want to be a summery orange – I told you before, I will only deduct cash if you have the word ‘Gemplus’ on you, but no, you decided to take it out because you think it clashes with your other colours!

Cashcard: What? How dare you? What about you? Do you know how many times you’ve embarrassed me at carparks when you refuse to let the exit machine read me, and you force the car to literally kiss the barrier before you finally let the machine deduct the parking fee? You’re just a cheapskate trying to get away from paying, hoping they’ll raise the barrier and let you through because you’ve caused a major traffic jam behind you!’

IU: Look, it’s your fault. You’re just not very well made, you can’t withstand the local weather, you’re poorly designed and made of inferior plastic.

Cashcard: If I’m so poorly made, how come I can be used to buy other stuff at petrol stations or 7-Eleven stores? You’re the one that’s made of inferior quality material – face it, we’re just incompatible.

Me: Okay guys, take it easy. Have you ever considered that maybe both of you are at fault? That maybe each of you has a design flaw that under certain circumstances will cause malfunctions and hence ERP glitches?

IU: Nope.

Cashcard: Hmph.

Me: Look, someone has to take the blame, and it has to be fixed, alright?

IU: Well, you know what they say – 0.003 per cent isn’t a high enough percentage to justify a solution. Besides, it’s not my fault.

Cashcard: Don’t look at me. I’ve only just released my summer orange collection.

Me: So if it’s not your fault, then whose fault is it then? IU/

Cashcard: You know, the ERP gantry itself has been keeping mighty quiet all this while. Do you think…?

watched this with A just now.. quite nonsense. i tink abt 3.75/5 stars for it. actually i tink there’s a lot of american jokes inside. meaning like jokes that americans will know while others wun. the show also make israel and palestinian wars sound like jokes. and he has an ultra big groin, but its the hair that makes it big. go figure. wiki has more info. oh, and for the first time, i managed to catch a movie at the $6 student rate. will definately be doing that more often rather than paying $9.50 or $10 for it.

the lead actor is mark wahlberg and ali said he was the guy who acted in the bourne series. ya rite. 3.5/5 stars. anyway, the show is pretty interesting. although i have been hearing only bad feedback from pple, i actually thot this show aint that bad. and it isnt that scary as the trailer looks. anyway, i tink this story does have a lame but really meaningful meaning (its so meaningful i used the root word meaning TWICE). let’s stop killing the little planet that we stay in! wiki has the info once more.

n i love the chorus of this song. the first time i heard it was during an advertisement for some show and since then, it got struck to my head. u know the irritating feeling where u want to know smth but yet u will nv know? lucky for me, i happen to surf to mtv channel and just nice they played this song for a short 5 secs and showed james’ face with it. hope u all like it. and ya, the chorus part can  get irritating if u hear it too many times in a roll.

So i have disappeared for abt 1 week? well, the past week wasnt that exciting. went out with a few pple and that’s all. got a new toy though, but shall not publicize it. but hint hint: it’s the cutest thing ever la! and those who know, pls dont tell ANYONE wat it is. it’s a secret!!!!

sun, lunch with fat wong and sim, sls with BB. mon, accompanied park ji sung to his workshop. kept askin me who is BB. tues, sawing some wood as a laptop platform. out with park to sls to find his graphics card. walked a lil while b4 getting the best price for it. wed, got new toy, rained, cancelled meeting with liz. thurs, fix new toy, home, made picture frame, supper with smth wrong. fri, new toy again. this toy needed some love. sat, sentosa, went sentosa 2 sats in a row. got a feelin i’ll be there again this sat. sun, went to find my file at corp, but some nice pple stole it. sh*t. return if u took it, i promise i wun scold u. then off to meet casper to look for thermal wear and toy hp for his gf’s niece. oh, and we went Hello! shop and guess wat, it was such a busy shop and understaffed that no one came to serve us. wat great service from a world class telco. maybe they dont entertain poor pple. mon, home. tues home. forgot to tell park he can come over. wed, which is today, i predict will be home again. sigh. everyone is either working or overseas.

wanted to do a platform for my laptop cos i tink i on my laptop for longer hours than most pple. the least i could do for her was at least give her above normal ventilation. and yes, all my belongings are female. my laptop, bike, etc. how the wood came abt was thanks to mark. was it at his house downstairs and he was nice enuff to help me bring it up his place so that no one could take it. haha. thanks. then i spent some time sawing and nailing it. the end result was ok. sawing was dreadful and tiring. nailing was hard.and the surface cracked as it was laminated wood. spraying was good. decided to use leftover orange paint. anyway, i tink it works la. cant really judge as the laptop doesnt really have a easily accessible thermometer.

saw the white color one at toast box and realized it was qutie a simple but interesting idea. was sort of tasked to do it. and since i have so much time, why not do smth constructive? besides, i had leftover frames i bought from ikea. so i went hardware store, got the screws, hinges, paint and started work on thurs. was quite easy. and i tink i getting better and spraying. the pink one is the imitation copy of the toast box version.

random pics of sentosa. i always marvel at how mega constructions work out. every measurement must be precise and accurate. things like dimension, load, etc. and how they from a small prototype enlarge into the real life thing like it was exactly planned. did u know that even millimeters in mgea contructions make a big diff? fei hua rite?

computer eye drops. Instructions: drop and wipe onto computer screen when images seem blur. repeat again if screen is not clear.

was out with casper on sun and i finally know there’s a guan yin temple in bugis. though it so famous, i have nv seen it till that day.

this would not be the first time i am making a union jack. this first i ever did was on a guitar. but back in those days, there were no such things as camera phones so sadly, i had no pics. and even if i havent taken the sticker on the guitar away, i still wun be able to see it today cos some c***ster/thief/a$$hole stole my guitar. may optimus prime run u down soon. anyway, i tink this flag is really cool. i would tink its the nicest and well designed flag in the world. u can google or wiki about union jack to learn abt it. its actually made up of 3 flags if i am not mistaken.

yes, past weeks have been doing some stuff with my hands. if i werent doin any of these, i would be seriously wasting my time. and now, i am only wasting my time away. i know i shld get a job but i am too lazy to do so. need some motivation ya. and yes, i am not very independent. next post is on mediac*ck.
