my bike tyre totally chui one day. burst until cannot burst. got a tow truck to get it to the shop. then changed tyre and full service. set me back by $390. boohoo. and i thot the bus tickets are pretty retro, even though its still being used nowadays.

bad karma hits me badly on thurs. i had test at 4pm. i studied till 330pm. would be early but a few things happened. first, i forgot to fill petrol for mira. so had to go fill. Second, after filling, i realized i din bring wallet. then had to fill some form which the attendent took a while to find. Third, after all this fiasco, it rained while i was going to sch. i reached the sch sch, wet and dripping, around 415pm. the test started at 405pm. so 2 lucky things, i missed only about 10+mins and the paper was short enuff to ensure i had sufficient time. second, i am really thankful that the attendent at the petrol station was nice enuff to let me owe money. XU BIN from SPC Yio Chu Kang. one of the nicest China worker i know.

hotmail is back! after 3 or 4 days. or less or more. cant remember. anyway, weird thing is i googled about this hotmail down thing and there were no news about it. but i have at least a hand full of friends who have experienced the same problem as me. oh well. am just glad its back.

as of now, my hotmail is dead. i can see how many mails i have, i just cant do anything to them. it’s like seeing your loved ones get run over by a car in front of u and there’s nth u can do to stop it. i cant click on anything. there is like an error on the page. anyone knows how to solve this? is it due to my resistance to install silverlight? wth.

F1! for u that have been living under a rock, u would have surely missed out F1 in SG! anyway, i dont exactly blame u for not knowing if u dont. for a country that have always frown upon racing and have never promoted racing in any single way, it is surprising pple are interested in the whole hype about F1. newspaper have nv provided so much F1 news in my entire readership. headlines after headlines. boy am i surprised. here i was tinking headlines were reserved for boring US financial crisis news. well, we din had to read that for one week cos F1 is much more important than financial crisis happening in a country not ours (if u havent sense my sarcarm, then u would properly tink i am such a superfacial creature). enuff of grumbling, more interesting pics. oh, and for the record. i am a fan of F1, be it held in singapore or other countries.

singapore’s first night race winner Fernando Alonso. This man was the world champion for 2 seasons driving under Renault. He was the man to dethrone micheal shumacher who had won 7 (?) sesaons with Ferrari (it made F1 so boring!) Last season, he moved to Mclaren but was unhappy cos he felt he was being disadvantaged to teammate Hamilton (team strategies may put preference on one driver for a more optimum timing). Then came back to Renault this season. but the Renault cars hasnt been performing this season and resulted the former world champion to have won no race. this is his first time he is on podium (top 3) in this season and its great to see him in first position! cheers to him and his team.

Nico Rosberg. First time on podium and his team’s first time as well for dont know how many seasons. well, not exactly a team i support but not a team i put down as well. it’s always good to see other teams other than Ferrari and McLaren on podium. and one of my sch’s module’s bonus question was "Who was the first runner-up for F1 Singapore?". it was MCQ. too bad it wasnt my paper. else even if u asked me to fill in the blanks and must spell exact, i will get it rite! oh. and look at the trophy. i seriously dont appreciate it. they say was specially designed and damn nice. indeed, beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. the black color of the trophy was supposed to represent the nite race. the silver cups probably represent rain guages (that one u used to collect rain and calculate rainfall with) to show the rainy weather of SG. i am sure the top 3 winners can use it to collect some rain when they are back home resting after the season has ended.

very very heart wrenching moment for me. Massa moved out of the pits before the fuel pipe was plucked out. AND it wasnt his fault. he was given the Green lights to go, indicating that was a machine malfunction somewhere else. and the mechanics took very long to react before running down to the end of the pits to help him to yank the fuel pipe out. for wat its worth, i am still support u man! and on a side note, u can see how much force a F1 car has. he merely moved off less than a meter and the force was enuff to yank the whole fuel pipe along and pull a mechanic as well! and that was only to a speed of about 80km/h.

sadly, i din go down to suntec to experience the F1 fever. i din even get to hear how loud the engines roared! sadly. next year then. hope the fever would have died down and less pple will go down to check it out. i tink many singaporeans are very curious this time round. i tink they shld have discovered that F1 isnt as fun as they thot it would be. drivers doing the same thing for 61laps. some even said that its a battle of the machines and not the drivers. to a certain extent, i agree to that, but then why arent other teams doing more to improve their cars? i am sure toyota has equally enuff financials to do R&D to fight with ferrari and mclaren. Come on, make the sports more excited. and for all u who tinks that F1 is boring, i would like to highlight it takes a lot just to win a race. Car engineering and R&D. Team effort. Strategies (when to pit, wat tyre to use, how much litre of petrol to put into the car, how to adjust the settings of the car. mere seconds of miscalculations could make a win into a lost. few seconds are extremely crucial in a sports like racing). driver fitness and concentration. if u found it tiring to drive for 1hour, then it shld make sense that these drivers require extreme fitness to last more than an hour of braking from speeds of 200-300km/h to less than 100km/h, then blasting off to 200-300km/h again in mere seconds. the concentration required is astronomical. and when i told my friends last threads on the tyre, the faster the car can go. no one gave me the ‘I believe you’ look. seriously, tyres were designed to stick on the road! more contact with the road, the more grip, the faster one can go. at least this theory is true about doing fast corners.

lastly, i just got a feeling the local media seems to be siding Hamilton and singaporeans seem to support him so unknowingly. oh well.
