After I touched down, the first thing i did was to, GO SHOPPING! Woodbury premium outlet was the destination. As nicole tay says, premium outlet is not where all the rejected goods from brands are sold, that is factory outlet. Premium outlet is just a place to get cheaper goods! but they are usually further away. we took like 2hrs to get there from JFK. at first i thought it wouldnt be such a long journey since it was in NY, wrong. need to change mindset that states are can be bigger than a country!
My first close encounter with snow. Not a very great one considering it was really dirty! ha. i wouldn’t touch it to make snow balls to throw at pple. ha. it stopped snowing when i was there, so maybe no layers of fresh snow to stack up. oh yes, temp was abt a little less than 10degrees? it was nice being away from hot humid weather!
car n nice man who came along with my special someone to pick me. the car was rented thou and rental bills came up to USD170! so ex. mg.
on the way to woodbury. n believe or not, i havent seen more than 3 KFCs while i’m here.
view of the place we’re travelling on. seemed so surreal that just 24hrs ago, i was somewhere else. now, i’m in a snowy place with bluer than blue skies, white mountains, low temp. cool da bian.
This pic reminds me of what i can see in movies when characters are travelling. it is surely something i dont get to see often.
We reached there around 8plus, hence the ample amt of lots. the same cant be said when we were leaving. the WHOLE carpark was filled, with cars awaiting for pple like us to vacant our lot.
welcome to woodbury premium outlet. it’s a pretty big area, i would tink abt the land space of 3 times takashimaya? many brands are available in this area, adidab, nike, hugo, almost u name it, here’s got it. things here are generally cheaper than at normal shopping areas. the stuff may not necessary be the most new fashion, but hey, nice can already right? no need to be at the fashion forefront. have i mentioned it’s cheaper?
Since none of the shops were opened at 8+am, we went on to grab a bite first. this is my first meal here! au bon pain. n my first ever bagel! not too bad, but not like how sandy cohen describes in the OC until like every morning also must have.
The layout of the place is very nice. really very diff from the things i normally see. open space with lots of shops. no elevator or lift to take. n check out the snowy mountains behind! different. just so different.
Most girls come US or have friends who go US ask to buy the same thing, COACH! one actually needs to queue to get in! n mind u, the bags, thou cheaper than outside Coach stores, are still in the $100-$200 range. it’s like kids when they see candy!
Check out what her mama gave her.
My 2nd meal of the day. Fried chicken is everywhere in US but not fish n chips! i used to assume fish n chips will be quite easy to find here BUT fish n chips, according to a smart source, is an English food! Anyway, fish is hard to find here, not just fish n chips in particular. not like chicken, it’s everywhere.
That’s all for now. more posts to come.
Gan i went there too when i was in NY! We bought so much!!!I went crazy there! But somethings…are actually cheaper in the main stores!
wong, u r alive! ha. anw, that place so ulu and you managed to go? not bad! ha. and i am sure you got something from COACH! everyone that enters coach shops like mad.
If you’re still there, try Cipriani at Soho! it’s really nice Italian food!
i bought 3 wallets from kate spade and 2 coach bags. hahahahah. among other stuff..
